About the event

I am impressed by a willingness to sacrifice personal comfort by professional athletes yesterday. I have been moved to Stand In Solidarity with the NBA, WNBA, MLB, MLS and WTA against racial injustice and police brutality in America. We are working and communicating well with our local law enforcement agency, but it is important to show solidarity with brothers and sisters across the country who are being shot in the back and dehumanized. Today, August 27th at 4:30 PM we will Stand in Solidarity at the intersection of US-1 and King Street in St. Augustine. We will not disrupt this time, but simply Stand In Solidarity from 4:30-5:30 PM as a show of appreciation for others who are making personal sacrifices in the fight against the evils of racism. Feel free to bring signs and wear personal protective equipment, if you desire to join us.

Bless You,

Ron Rawls

Pastor of St. Paul AME Church
